I look at a lot of wedding stationery over the course of my day (a lot!) there are so many wonderful themes and styles around at the moment. Today’s engaged couples are so lucky to have such depth of choice when it comes to choosing a stationery suite that reflects them personally.
Few things make my heart beat faster than fluffy deckled edge handmade paper paired with modern calligraphy and silk ribbon (oh my, ribbon really does make me go all dreamy!).
Today we’re looking at such a beautiful handmade paper wedding suite, and also having the pleasure of meeting Caitlin, owner of Doyle Paper Co who was kind enough to share with me one of her beautiful semi-custom wedding stationery suites.
Hi Caitlin! Please introduce yourself your business! Hi there! My name is Caitlin and I’m the founder and lead designer at Doyle Paper Co. DPC is a custom invitation, day-of paper goods and stationery company based in sunny Tampa, Florida! We love working with brides (and brands) to combine their style with our love of paper to create something beautiful for their big day!
Tell us, what inspires you & your work – why do you do what you do? I always knew I wanted to open my own business in the creative industry. To most people, a passion for paper goods may seem a bit odd, but I truly love a well-designed, hand-written note or customized invitation. It becomes part of your brand when you are known for going the extra mile to write a personal note to someone you care about or have even just met.
Tell us about the gorgeous wedding suite, you’re sharing with us today! This The Sloane, one of my semi-custom wedding invitation suites which includes an invite, details card, rsvp card & envelopes all printed on handmade paper and enclosed with a silk ribbon. Couples can choose this design and customize it for their big day, creating an effortless, custom-look wedding suite, tailored distinctly for their big day!
How did you get started in your field / business? Design runs in my family. My Mom is an Interior Designer, Dad a photographer and bro-in-law a sculptor. I grew up visiting art exhibits on family vacations, attending Ringling School of Art & Design every summer, receiving a scholarship to the Art Department in college and finally starting a career in Graphic Design.
Designing wedding invitations & paper goods for Doyle Paper Co was my “side gig” for a long time before deciding it was time to take a leap of faith and grow my little business. After all my experiences in the marketing & advertising world, I know this is where I’m meant to be and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for DPC and myself!
What’s Next For You and your business? Doyle Paper Co has just launched a line of stationery and semi-custom wedding suites available on the website.
